more tips
|
- Buy in bulk whenever possible to avoid excess packaging
and save money.
- Plan meals and create a list before going to the
grocery store. You'll prevent over-purchasing, preparing too much and
letting fresh food spoil.
- Be sure to properly refrigerate or freeze your leftovers
so you can use them for another meal.
- Compost leftover fruit and vegetable waste with your
yard waste.
- Use a cloth dish towel, instead of a paper one, to
clean up spills.
- Reduce the need for pesticides by storing food in
reusable sealed containers, and use rags to clean up spills and crumbs
immediately.
