America Recycles Day

If you're not buying recycled, you're not really recycling!

America Recycles Day is celebrated on November 15 every year.  The purpose of America Recycles Day is to encourage Americans to support recycling in our country by increasing their recycling efforts.  One of the best things we can do for recycling is to make sure we purchase recycled products.  Recycled products no longer look or perform differently than their virgin counterparts.

Prices for recycled products are becoming competitive with non-recycled products.  And it's getting easier and easier to find recycled products and packaging.

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN AMERICA RECYCLES DAY

K-12 Students:  Enter Indiana’s America Recycles Poster Contest!
We invite all of Indiana’s public and private school children and youth organizations to showcase their artistic talent and their commitment to the environment by participating in the America Recycles Poster Contest sponsored by Indiana’s America Recycles Steering Committee. This poster contest will help us to achieve our goal of higher excellence in recycling and buying recycled products and packaging. The twelve (12) Indiana winners receive the honor of having their artwork displayed in the State Capitol / Indiana Government Center tunnel in December, 2004. The twelve winners will also receive cash prizes for their efforts. Please read the poster contest rules carefully, as only posters that meet the contest rules will be considered. ***Posters must be received by us no later than Tuesday, November 30, 2004 ***
