EXTRAS

Tour

The tour will start at Indy’s historic City Market. The Market has undergone some transformation in the past couple years, salvaging an entire wing from demolition to be repurposed into office and co-working space. See the new space, as well as the historic catacombs-an Indianapolis legend. Next, the tour will head outside to the newly-completed Cultural Trail where we’ll learn about pedestrian recycling efforts on the city’s newest recreational attraction. Finally, we’ll end up at the Circle City Industrial Complex to tour RecycleForce. RecycleForce is a social enterprise offering some of the most comprehensive and innovative recycling services around while providing life-changing workforce training to formerly incarcerated individuals. While we’re at the CCIC, we’ll also get a peek at People for Urban Progress’s massive collection of salvaged goods, including Bush Stadium seats and Super Bowl fabric.

Reception

This year the opening night reception will be held in our new headquarters in downtown Indianapolis. The event will feature heavy appetizers, drinks and a great opportunity to network with colleagues new and old.

Re-TRAC Connect

After lunch on Thursday afternoon, join Emerge Knowledge’s Chris Ronson for an interactive training session on Re-TRAC Connect. Re-TRAC Connect is the leading Waste Reduction Measurement System for Governments and Organizations that offers FREE accounts to help local governments, businesses, schools, universities, and other organizations participate in reporting programs, manage tonnage data, and publish waste reduction information to the public. This session is free for conference attendees and $10 for non-conference attendees.
