America Recycles Day 2003 Indiana "Recycled" Art Exhibition
America Recycles Day is celebrated nationally on November 15 and reminds us that recycling is a "cycle"… once used, old things are collected for recycling, then processed and made into new products which people buy and hopefully recycle again after use! Buying Recycled supports Indiana's many recycling businesses, saves energy and keeps materials out of disposal facilities. America Recycles Day reminds us not only to collect used items for recycling, but also to "Buy Recycled Today" to keep recycling working!
Plans for America Recycles Day 2003 include the adult-focused "Recycled" Art Exhibition, a juried show of Indiana artwork made from materials that otherwise would be discarded. The Exhibition will be held at Joe Reuzar's Deli, 1029 Virginia Ave., in the historic Fountain Square Arts District, just southeast of downtown Indianapolis. The opening reception will be held the evening of Friday, November 28, 2003 from 7-10 p.m. and will include live music provided by Craig Laflin. The Exhibition will be up through January 7, 2004. A preview is available online. at www.in.gov/greening/center/WebImages.pdf
