People are collecting more materials for recycling than ever before - in their homes, schools and offices. As a result, recycling is more prevalent in Indiana today than ever before. But recycling is more than collecting materials and separating them from the regular garbage collection. To truly divert waste, the recyclable materials must first be remanufactured into new products. The new products must then be purchased to close the recycling loop. The BRTF has developed the Buy Recycled Indiana! guide, designed as a resource tool for buy recycled program coordinators. Specific Buy Recycled fact sheets, geared to the general public, cover a variety of products including: Clothing and Accessories, Home Products, Holiday and Special Occasion Gifts, School Supplies, Office Supplies, Lawn and Garden Products, Automotive Products, and Parks and Recreation Items.
