Speakeasy Costume Gala

You can't miss this vintage event!

We take reuse and recycling so seriously that we want you to find some clothes from the 1920's to wear! This is a packed evening! We'll be serving some yummy hot and cold appetizers, there will be a recycled art exhibit and live music!! Oh yeah, and forget about Prohibition - we're only dressing like the 1920's so there will be a cash bar - stocked without the aid of any rum-runners. In fact, if you come in vintage clothing - like you're supposed to - the first drink is on the HOUSE!

So we need all gangsters, flappers,
& John Dillinger wanna-bes!!

Great Prizes will be awarded for costume categories!!!

The event will take place at the one of a kind Lake County Visitors Center - where there will be an art exhibit, the John Dillinger Museum and the silent auction!! And look out that you don't get caught up in a murder!!

You said give us fun and we delivered!!

Andy Acho, Worldwide Director of Environmental Outreach & Strategy for Ford Motor Company

Monday, May 7, 1:45 p.m.

Andy Acho is passionate about his work. So much so that he delights in his travels across the continent helping Ford find ways to proactively do good things for the environment beyond what is required by law. Under his leadership, Ford has introduced recycled pop bottles and off-spec bumpers into car parts. In addition, he was Governor Engler's appointed chair to the Great Lakes Recycle Board, a committee of the Council of Great Lakes Governors. His work with that council helped state government officials work together to increase the purchase of recycled content products.
