Plainfield Correctional Facility Recycling and Composting Programs Tour

In 1997, the Plainfield Correctional Facility started a large-scale composting program in cooperation with the West Central Solid Waste District. Since then, the facility has looked for more ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Come see the innovative methods used in this unusual setting. RSVP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TOUR!. The Correctional Facility must have a complete list of tour participants prior to arrival - anyone not on the list will not be able to join the tour. Be sure to check the box for this tour on your registration form.

Peace. Love, and Recycling! Put on your grooviest clothes and hang out! Dance by the light of lava lamps to great sixties music, enjoy some munchies, play some party games... you even get your first drink free. After that, it's a cash bar. Prizes for best-dressed hippy, beatnik, or flower child... Please remember to indicate on your registration form if you will attend the Welcoming Reception.

Ways to promote the concept of "pre-cycling" will be discussed as part of a new campaign currecntly under development by the IRC.
