Purchase an electric toothbrush and replace the bristle attachments.

more tips

  • Instead of paper towels, use a reusable wipe, rag or sponge for cleaning the bathroom. Be sure to wash it between uses.
  • Use up health and beauty products by adding water to the last few drops of shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap.
  • Use a washcloth with your facial cleanser, instead of a disposable pad.
  • Baking soda and water is a good tile and tub cleaner and a natural acid, such as vinegar, removes lime scale.
  • For a disinfectant, mix one-half cup of borax with a gallon of warm water.
  • Instead of using harsh drain cleaning chemicals to clear clogs, try using a plunger first. You can also try 1 cup of baking soda plus a 1/2 cup of warm vinegar down a clogged drain. Let stand a few minutes, flush with warm water and repeat as needed.
